From the beginning, the goal of our club has been to help develop players that have a love for the game and a desire to improve their skills. Our guiding principle is for everyone to play hard and have fun while pushing themselves to get to the next level!

We believe in building strong core values for our athletes. That is why each of our teams participate in multiple volunteer opportunities for a local food bank and animal adoption organization in our community.

Each year we have over 100 players participating in the club, with competitive travel and developmental teams at the 12u, 13u, 14u, 15u, 16u, 17u/18u age levels. Ages 13u-18u divisions are girls teams only, 12u is co-ed.

NorthEast Thunder Volleyball has proven itself as one of the strongest clubs in the region by competing at the highest levels. We also take great pride in our Junior Thunder Program to teach the fundamentals of volleyball to beginning players ages 8-12.

Playing time is earned for players on our Force Teams. These teams are designed for more advanced players with the goal of achieving success in each tournament. Coaches will create rotations to enhance competitiveness and maximize winning opportunities. Although winning is not the sole focus, it is highly emphasized on Force teams. As the more competitive teams, NET Force teams travel to different major cities for competition.

During the 2025 Season NET has 9 travel teams. These include:

  • 17U Force/Lightning
  • 16U Force/Lightning
  • 15U Force/Lightning
  • 14U Force
  • 13U Lightning
  • 12U Lightning

Playing time is guaranteed for players on our Lightning Teams. We believe it is essential to foster player development by providing multiple opportunities during practices and tournaments. While playing time may not be equal, it will be fair. Fairness is defined as providing players with various chances to experience both success and failure, which are crucial for growth. As the more developmental teams, NET Lightning teams tend to stay more local for their competitions.

  • 16U Force/Lightning
  • 15U Force/Lightning
  • 14U Force
  • 13U Lightning
  • 12U Lightning

The Junior Thunder (JT) Program is a non-competitive volleyball training program designed for young girls and boys, 8-12 years old with little or no prior volleyball experience. Through weekly practices and end-of-session scrimmages, coaches will focus on teaching fundamental skills, basic rules, and team concepts, though there will be no formal tournaments.  The JT Program aims to prepare children for future club or school teams and foster their enjoyment of the sport.
